postanotice was launched June, 2005, after more than 3 years of development by just 2 individuals - a crazy thing to attempt by so few people with so little (almost no) inve$tment.

Ultimately, postanotice failed to generate sufficient interest to justify continued support, and was a major disappointment to us, the developers. Originally, the hope was that not-for-profits would grasp the benefit of bringing together into one site, progressive organizations, their members, and the general public - a kind of cross pollination, satisfying basic personal needs along with needs of organizations.

A naive notion as it turned out, but one that still frustrates us personally - that progressive groups do not find more avenues with which to share resources and goals (we're still naive I guess).
